History

Since 10 of October 1968 the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family have been providing services to the Lebanese and Australian Community in Australia in the area of Aged Care, Pastoral Care, Education and Child Care.

In August 1991, they purchased an old nursing home at Dulwich Hill with a 27 bed capacity. Due to Health regulations and the Sister’s concern about the condition of the home, it was decided that a bigger and more modern home be built. Therefore a new aged care facility which caters for 50 residents was completed in 1997 and is located at the back of the school and named Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family Village.

In order to meet the increase in demand for this service to the community, the Maronite Sisters have commenced in year 2006 a further development on the existing Nursing Home complex to expand it to accommodate an extra forty seven (47) place high care residential (30 high care beds and 17 low care beds) dwelling in Dulwich Hill. This new facility was completed in August. 2007.
