An opportunity waits for a Laundry Attendant for Dulwich Hill site reporting to the Operations Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the care of the residents’ property is in accordance with the Maronite Sisters policy.
- Primarily responsible for maintaining clean linen and personal clothing.
- Monitor stock in supply
- Work within infection control guidelines when sorting and handling soiled linen (protective apron and gloves to be worn).
- Respect resident’s personal laundry and hand wash as necessary.
- Iron linen and clothes as required.
- Maintain and adhere to safe working practices
Successful applicants will demonstrate:
- Experience in Aged Care or Certificate III in Aged Care (Preferred)
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
- Knowledge and understanding of infection control, manual handling, and hazard identification.
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and hard working
- Strong WH&S awareness
