SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Current registration with AHPRA, Division 1

Five (5) years post general nursing experience

Excellent communication skills

Experience of management role in aged care home a must.

Certificate/Diploma in Gerontology/Aged Care/Management Preferred

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

To assist the Director of Nursing in achieving company goals & objectives.

To assist the Director of Nursing in the provision of management services and operational direction for all employees.

To be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation and provision of care services.

To act as clinical consultant for personal and health/clinical care matters.

To monitor Health and Personal Care standards are maintained for residents.

Resume the role of Director of Nursing in his/her absence.

To assist the Director of Nursing to ensure employees are adhering to company policies and procedures in all areas of service delivery.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Director of Nursing in implementing the philosophy, objectives and policies of the village and managing the day-by-day operations in areas of:

*Staff Management

*Quality and Continuous Improvement

*Registration

*ANACC

*Infection Control

*Work Health and Safety

*Education and Development
